In Girl Scouts, girls discover the fun, friendship and power of girls together.
Through many enriching experiences, girls from 5 to 17 grow strong in
body, mind and spirit. The Girl Scout experience provides a wide variety of
opportunities that help each girl reach her full potential. Girls develop
life-long values, learn to relate to others with respect and become
successful contributing members of their communities. Adult volunteers
are role models to girls.

Youth Leadership America (YLA) is a non-profit organization that fosters
leadership among America's youth in order to promote positive change.
Our motto is that "leaders are made, not born." By bringing young,
aspiring leaders into the community we help the youth develop and mature
into the leaders of tomorrow. By letting the YLA youth board choose their
own activities and direction, we create an atmosphere in which the youth
can learn to be leaders by actually leading.
