Born  Deborah Schaeffer on April 27, 1962 in Anaheim, Schae discovered dancing at a very young
age.  She was a cheerleader in high school.  She enjoyed choreography and had a talent for
innovative dance styles which led to a position with the NFL Seattle Seahawks' cheerleading-dance
squad.  Schae was with the troupe for over three years.  She returned to Southern California and
worked in the fiercely competitive market of fashion modeling and hosted her own cable aerobics
workout program.

A seasoned actress, she has appeared in the feature film Twice in a Lifetime, with Gene Hackman
and Ann-Margret.  She starred as Zachary Ty Bryan's mother in the Disney feature Magic Island.
In addition, Schae has appeared on Night Court, General Hospital, Who's The Boss?, Star Trek -
The Next Generation, Freddy's Nightmares, and Throb.

Schae is perhaps best known for her role as Darla in the day time soap opera The Bold and The
Beautiful.  She played this part from 1989 until December, 2006.

Today she currently resides in Southern California where she is an avid equestrian and an active
supporter of the National Special Olympics Organization.
